      dropped connections

hi all I'm not sure if this is posted in the right section i have been a sky customer for about 3 to 4 months and had been getting very poor connections to my broadband i had frequently rebooted my sky router lots of dropped connections had tried all filters when all of a sudden on Wednesday phone went totally dead the came on but had terrible interference could not hear a thing tried master socket the same spoke to a very nice lady with bt she said that they would send a engineer out on Friday he arrived checked the master socket said there was a lot of interference on the line then promptly went about finding the fault checked the master socket there was intermittent noise then he tried the box outside there was no noise coming from the outside line he then tried the small white box that sits before the master socket and he noticed that my virgin media phone line was sill connected he then removed the wires form the box all the noise disappeared I'm not sure if that was just coincidence or not but i have had no more bad connections hope this might be of use sory frogot to show line stats
