    g.dmt- is this the reason for my slow speed?

    This is a discussion on g.dmt- is this the reason for my slow speed? within the Speed tests and how to get better results forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; I think you can use the BT speedtester when you're on Connect, so try that and see what it says ...

      I think you can use the BT speedtester when you're on Connect, so try that and see what it says your IP Profile is set at. It's possible it's stuck, in which case the issue may be resolveable.

      ive had tests done on the phone line by sky and they are saying i am synced at 8mb and that the line is perfect and they are stumped why i cant get decent speeds. wil try the BT test...

      It could just be contention, but if it never ever seems to go above a certain speed even at off peak times of day it might well be a stuck IP profile...
