      Yes, forever

Sky connect is over capacity and so everyone is seeing some shocking speeds at peak times. Many are seeing them at all times and gaming, VOIP and some other low latency applications are just useless.

If you are within your cooling off period, I would have a long hard think about moving on, see some of the many treads on here regarding Sky Connect.

It would be worth checking if O2 or Be had their LLU equipment in your exchange, if not try, Plusnet, Zen, IdNet or ADSL24, they manager their network MUCH better than Sky.

Sorry for the bad news, but at least you know the problem, leave now while you can!!!!!

It's a bit of an anomaly, you get 30 days to cool off with the TV, but only 8 with broadband. If you decide after 20 days you don't want the TV, the broadband is automatically cancelled.

      here goes......here's my speedtest....

Still cant get 8Mbps even though im paying 10 a month. On Sky's Max upto 16MB....Now...Unlimited upto 20MB Package. How you guys are achieving 12Mbps and in some cases 19Mbps download speed is unbelievable.

Below are my stats, I got the XTE-2005 master face plate yeasterday which has made my sync about 300kb better, I have also ordered a high quality RJ11 cable which will be here monday. Just wondered if there is any more room for improvement on my line?

It is down to your line length. Your attenuation of 37 will rise to about 40 when you go on to ADSL2+, this should give you 9-10Mb. If you want much more you will have to move to a house closer to the exchange.
