The way Connect works is that the profile (throughput/download speed) lags behind any changes to the router sync i.e. it takes three clear days of higher sync before the profile adjusts.

If after 3 days things haven't improved, post back and someone will talk you through troubleshooting.

Unfortunately as you are on Connect you could run into a lot more problems. See this thread -

Re: **run a speedtest and post your results here**

Hi, Just recently set up on Sky Connect - 22nd Jan - so still in the settling down period I realise. Did a run on Speedtest last night - and here are the results along with router stats. I am direct into a newly provided Master Socket, with no other extension wiring except for the sky box on a fly lead. I plan to run extensions later. I will also be fitting a new BT ADSL Faceplate ( NTE2000 ADSL) soon, and a Data Extension Kit when I work out where the computer will ultimately go. As you can probably guess we've not long moved in.
I have been getting very variable results during the day - I realise these are due to contention issues.
Could you tell me what you think of my line stats and general speed?

Tried to get the picture of the test - could only get the link!
Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

Re: **run a speedtest and post your results here**

Your stats are OK but with your low attenuation I would have expected a higher noise margin. This will probably be OK on Connect, but if you move to LLU it may have an effect.
except for the sky box on a fly lead
Make sure you plug the filter into the socket first, then the fly lead and any other extensions. You connection to the Master socket should look like -
      .................................................. ......Router
      Master socket <ADSL Filter<
      .................................................. ......Sky lead and phone.

If you do not have any extensions hard-wired into the master socket, a filtered faceplate will make little difference.

My post at #512 will also apply to you

Yes it's wired that way and I will only use the filtered faceplate when I wire in any extensions. Have already posted on that thread with some stats to confirm the after 5 situation. Am currently running at 0.927Mb. What do you think on the stats that might cause a problem on LLU IF and when it arrives here.

Speedtest.net producing rubbish results again then

Your sync is excellent and at the maximum Max is usually set at i.e. you can't do better with Sky.

Your speedtest result shows a speed higher than your sync, which sadly isn't possible. A decent speedtester will show ~13150kbps if all is well with your set up.

ADSL2+ requires a 'cleaner' line than ADSLMax, your comparatively low noise margin with your low attenuation suggests there may be a problem with noise on your line. As things stand you will not get a better connection, when your line finishes training your should get a download of about 7000kbps.

Couldn't agree more, I think Admin should close this thread and start a new one using the Skyuser speedtester only. Speedtest.net is long past it's 'use by' date.

mmmmm, If your connect looks like your getting throttled. Start another thread and post your router stats, see linky below.
