      That's pretty close.

We estimate your line is capable of between 4mb to 5mb broadband on an ADSL2+ service.

      Here's mine!
Post your stats please. Speedtests are meaningless without them. I have to say that unless Sky have made a mistake with your connection, the speed shown for your test is not possible.

      Speedtest.net sucks

Firstly i would imagine people run speed tests to see what speed they have got/ can get.

Also it's a good guage of line quality and helps with troubleshooting connection problems.

Thirdly it is a great was to stick it to your mates who live in not so fortunate areas of the world...

Luckily thinkbroadband /adslguide website reminds me to rate my isp every month so every month i do a speed test on there website and also on speedtest.net and so here is another month's results No change really, it is usually around that same speed and i try to always use the recommended server...

How does this look? I have MAX & I'm on a wired connection, sometimes it's good but then it will just drop off for no reason.
I've no idea if this result is good or bad, but I do live quite close to the exchange so am hoping for really good results....

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 15293 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 27.5 db 12.6 db
Noise Margin 10.4 db 17.0 db

      Thanks

Better than good - impossible in fact

Your connection is synced at 15293kbps against a maximum for your package of ~16000kbps. So not only are those speedtests showing a speed that is higher than Sky offer but it is higher than your sync. Which isn't possible.

Speedtest.net is a very dodgy speedtester. Try Skyuser's which is much better. Be aware though that no speedtester is 100% reliable.

Looking at your stats you have a great connection and uncapped would achieve more than 16meg were Sky to offer it. With your current sync a good speedtest result will give you a download speed of ~13000kbps (your sync less transmission overheads).
