      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4448 kbps 384 kbps
Line Attenuation 32 db 9 db
Noise Margin 3 db 14 db

Yiks! I.ve just noticed the noice margin. Does not look good

Your results are fine for your sync but you appear to be on G.DMT rather than ADSL2+ which your attenuation would usually support. Have you had problems?

Re: **run a speedtest and post your results here**

Sorry Saturday, but is your question aimed at me?

If so, I am on G.DMT as unfortunately when I was switched to ADSL2+ my connection speed dropped for some reason...not really sure why.

I'm plugged directly into the the master with an adsl nation xte-2005 faceplate, I'm using the shortest possible modem cable (1m) from faceplate to router and I'm connected direct from router to p.c via ethernet. I've basically taken all necessary steps to achieve the best speed but this is the best I've managed to get so far.

One piece of friendly advice I've had has been:

'Seriously, either pay BT to sort your line or make do.'

Re: **run a speedtest and post your results here**

      Yep - aimed at you.

If you're able to get 9100kbps on G.DMT then that would normally indicate that your line is in pretty good shape (your noise margin is a little lower than I'd expect for your attenuation though). However, if Sky have tried ADSL2+ and the stability/sync is poor then it sounds like there may be some interference in the high frequencies that ADSL2+ needs. In theory the protocol should be able to just ignore problematical frequencies and not use those bins, but in practice, certainly for some Sky customers, it just doesn't handle some problems that well.
