Only if you're syncing at ~6250kbps.

Your sync will vary depending on the level of noise on your line at the time you boot the router e.g. you're likely to get a lower sync if you boot in the evening than earlier in the day.

If the best you see is 5100kbps then that's a little low for your attenuation which suggests you have some line problems.

Your speedtest result is absolutely fine for a sync of 5100kbps.

Results achieved following installation of new quality cabling ADSL filter plate and new ADSL filters to two other sockets router speeds have gone up from 4220 kbps to around 7000 kbps and actual speeds have gone up from an average 3.5 mbps to what you see now very pleased as this is Sky Connect which is essentially just a standard BT product.

Re: **run a speedtest and post your results here**

      Am on Sky Mid (5)

I'm trying to do a Test from the main socket. Did it once, and was looking at c.1500 kb/s! Now it won't even get passed the ping stage! Grrrr!

Will post that when I get it working! heh!

      ** update **

Couldn't get it to do another test from the main socket.

But I downloaded something from Giganews using GrabIt, and got a max speed of 1085 KB/s, and then it averaged out at 800 KB/s. What does 800 KB/s compare with what speedtest shows? Am not so clued up on that!

Your figures are actually looking quite good to be honest. Here's mine

i haven't sorted out the cabling in my house yet, regarding the fact that there's no NET-5 Faceplate by BT.
