(i have seen some other speed tests like yours, it's normally just a wrong reading)
Running the Skyuser Speed Tester on my Sky Max gives:-

Your download speed is 7224Kbps. That is 1255Kbps above the average for your package
Your upload speed is 600Kbps. That is 73Kbps above the average for your package

I think this sounds about right. Cheers !

Re: **run a speedtest and post your results here**

About 2 weeks ago with SKY on CONNECT via BT IPstream with a DG834GT ADSL Router which would sync at around 2000 kbps. SKY told me I was getting 2000 kbps but the BT speed test told me my B-RAS had reset to 500kbps. The rep I spoke to had to ask someone what a "B-RAS" was and said there was nothing they could do.

Today with FAST via BT IPStream and the same DG834GT ADSL Router which now syncs at 3000+kbps, interleaving has been turned off and my B-RAS profile has reset to 2500 kbps, all with the very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly help of the staff at FAST, who answer their emails (personally, not by a robot) within minutes, and who resolved everything via 2 phone calls and 3 emails.

You pays your money folks and you takes your choice!

My LINKSYS AG241 ADSL2 Gateway and WRT54GS Wireless-G Broadband Router should arrive on Thursday and maybe I will even be able to squeeze a little more out of this 4700 meter long line of mine.

      RTB.

      YOU are glad?

      *I* am chuffed to bits!!!

Its maybe costing me a wee bit extra, but to get a 5x increase in usable bandwidth AND to be able to talk to an intelligent, clued-up tech support guy who knows what he's doing, whenever I need to, who is in a UK office and who gives damn, well, its just a joy.

      RTB.

      hi
I had tiscali before and 2000kbps download. They told me I can not get faster net from them. I call to sky and without asking about speeds I bought MaxBB. This is my speed now:
