I wasnted to add to what iamnottheenemy said and to state that even though you are paying sky broadband money your connection on the CONNECT package is provided by BT and uses their servers only. this been said it sounds like sky have escalated the fault to BT who have capped you to your current poor speeds, whan infact what sky need to be saying to BT is that they have capped you severely and for the cap to be removed. If you were on sky LLU on the mid package then tier3 would have done this but as you are on a resold BT package only BT can change anything.

Hope you got / get it sorted.

got it sorted in as much as sky say they cannot do anything as it is a 256k connection so have requested a mac code and asked for a refund of what i have paid so far as i was misled by sky and would never in a million years have paid 17 per month for a 256k connection

Re: at the end of my tether :(

posted my letter to Sky this morning asking for my mac code and saying how bad the broadband is and tonight my results have changed as follows:-

      System Up Time 204:51:24
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 278300 376951 0 10882 130710 00:52:23
      LAN 10M/100M 19570 0 0 10 0 204:51:22
      WLAN 11M/54M 1007837 905019 0 1160 258 204:51:12

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8128 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 16.0 db 11.0 db
Noise Margin 11.9 db 24.0 db

maybe the threat of leaving and asking for a refund had something to do with it lol

bt must have taken the cap off it, at the same time you sent the letter, you better email sky and tell them you sent a letter, and that it is to be discarded as junk. or not?? up to you...

Re: at the end of my tether :(

or were you thinking of leaving sky connect??

I am on sky 16mb LLU, and running quite nicely, with very few errors, from time to time.

Re: at the end of my tether :(

the only reason i wanted to leave sky connect was the download speeds of 25kbps, they were driving me insane, i just don't know what to do now lol

maybe BT just finally listened to the logged faults and change the speed to what it should've been on all along!!!

i think it should be BT refunding you - not Sky - as they're obviously the ones who've screwed up here!!!
