Sry newbie

I have recently joined sky from virgin media and although i do get some good speeds on sky sometimes i am overall not happy with skys broadband so i was hoping so one could give me some advice on wht i could do from my end to improve this.I read somewhere about changing the face plate on my masters socket but will only do this if someone who knows wht they are doing advises me to do so.I am running xp and am on wireless my stats are -

connecting wirelessly can have an effect on speeds. From what you have included in your first post it looks to me like you have done a little research on here already.
If it were me I would take stats again from the test socket and connected wired.
This will help narrow down possible problems and give you a good indication as to if replacing your faceplate will make vast improvements.
