      Mid or Max help plz

      Hi Guys,

I recently left Orange LLU. They ****ed my line up and have been unable to connect to the net on broadband for 5/6 weeks now.

Prior to my problems my line was getting about 6.5mrg connection on an 8meg line. I live aprox 2 miles from my local exhange.

Now... Im moving to Sky Broadband, but unsure wether to go with the mid (and prob achieve a simular speed to my Orange LLU) or try and get a faster connection with max?

Would a faster connection be possible with max do u think?

Any help would be appriciated, cheers!

max speed is all based on line distance. Orange LLU uses the same BT line as Sky LLU, so if you only got 6.5Mb on Orange, you will get similar on Sky.

You may improve your speed by improve your own internal set up. a lot of users (sky or otherwise) saw big increase by plugging the router into the test socket (i personally went from 2.5Mb to 7Mb).

You sound borderline so Mid is probably best.

If you still have an actice BB line, then post your router stats so we can properly advise.
