Brilliant connection stats but a poor speedtest result.

Are you wireless? If so then that's possibly the problem. In any event I'd suggest running TCPoptimizer - see the second sticky in my signature. It won't cure a wireless problem but it will make the best of the connection.

Thanks Saturday. I am wireless should I try a wired connection? Ran the optimizer

      Cheers

Re: The New Guy - How Do Things Look?

If everything is as it should be then wired you should get ~12250kbps.

One thing that gives a bit of concern is the latency shown in your last speedtest. It could be a sign of line errors which cause retransmission, which in turn cause low throughput and high latency.

What speed do you get with this site? If much the same when wired then maybe you could post your full stats?

Re: The New Guy - How Do Things Look?

Thanks again Saturday. I've ran the speed test again this morning still wireless on speedtest.bbmax getting speeds between 11 & 13 meg. Did the same thing on speedtest.net getting same results as yesterday. Very strange.
Whats the best way to find my detailed stats?
      Cheers.

Re: The New Guy - How Do Things Look?

Your errors are a bit high but nothing to get too worried about, though your line must be quite noisy as you have a good noise margin (due to your low attenuation) but are still generating errors.

Looks like the speed problem is a varying wireless signal.
