Re: Very..Very Slow Max Speed
Try rolling back the driver on your networkcard to the previous version.
I had the same problem last week with a Windows update for my Realtek networkcard.
You can roll back by going into..
Control Panel
Device Manager
Network Adaptors
Locate your networkcard, right click and select properties.
Then select Drivers and you'll see a button marked 'Roll Back Driver'

Re: Very..Very Slow Max Speed
Forgot to add...
No TCP optimiser will currently work with Vista, they are lying if they say Vista compatible. Vista has an automatic TCP optimising system built into it.

Re: Very..Very Slow Max Speed
the motherboard has 2 ethernet connections (NVIDIA nforce) Both don't have the option to roll back the driver......Do you reckon it's more likely to be PC set up rather than problems with modem/noise/distance from exchange etc?

Re: Very..Very Slow Max Speed
Your router is synch'ing at 15mbps, stats look ok also.
If its not a Windows Update problem with drivers like I had myself then I would start with the easy things first like downloading new drivers for the nForce from Nvidia and see how things go.

Re: Very..Very Slow Max Speed
One thing I just found doing a google on the nForce was this..
NVidia Vista Drivers are Still Awful « Joshua Mouch
Might be worth checking your settings are intact.
