      Only 2mbs on Max

My exchange is Sidcup in Kent.
I currently only get around 2mbs if I am lucky, but with frequent disconnects.
I use MossyWell's Bounce Sky Router app as well.
I have run TCPOptimizer and set my MTU (1492) in the WAN settings on my router.

Currently connected via the Test Socket on my BT NTE5 faceplate.

All Filters are check and are ok.

Have been connected for months now but it has never improved.

Also, just out of interest, I put my number into the BT wholesale Checker and got this meesage back

Note: Our Records indicate that you have a product or service supplied to this line that is currently incompatible with broadband. You will need to have the product or service ceased before broadband could be provided.

I have no idea what this relates to. I just have 1 phone, 1 extension connected to my Sky box and MY Sky router.

I'm at work at the moment, so I can't post stats yet, but if anything jumps out as being a problem I would love to know.

I think this bit means that you dont have a bb free line that would allow bt to provide you with theirs. I might be wrong though.

To get a proper picture you need to post your stats.

If you can do this later when you get home I am sure someone will assist.

      Re: Only 2mbs on Max

With an attenuation of 62db the best sync you could hope for is ~2750kbps.

You're getting 1951kbps and the shortfall is going to be down to your line quality.
