How to improve HTTP/FTP downloads using firefox

Alot of you may have, but most of you won't have, heard of a program called downthemall (DownThemAll!) which is a free firefox addon - basically a download manager however it let's you open 10 connections. it also downloads chunks at the same time as the threads so speeds everything up

I've attached some before and after screenshots of what i would deem as slow servers like cyberlink and nero - but it even makes a difference on microsoft servers

Check it out and see if it works for you.

Thanx for that, Great to have an add-on just for FF as most like DAP and stuff add on a whole load of other stuff to the system, Whereas this add-on will keep itself in the FF directory!

      :thumbs-up:

Re: How to improve HTTP/FTP downloads using firefox

it works a treat i've also posted a link to a good speedtest thread on ThinkBroadband

don;'t forget to change the " max chunks" to 10 in advanced on this addon aswell as 10 connections . will give you the best speed

you can clearly see what a difference it made downloading nero
