Theres Got To Be A Simple Procedure!
Ok i need help. I've spent the last 3 days reading posts and trying to solve my problem but its not helping.
I just recently got Sky broadband and im one of those people who love to download. As soon as i went active i downloaded an album and couldn't believe my eyes when the download speed went up to 500kb. The album finished in 2 mins. I spent the rest of the day boasting this fact and when i got back to download some more stuff the download speed was incredibly slow and still is. I cant get past 13kb and i only get that if im lucky. Theres got to be something im doing wrong.
I'm on wireless broadband and i would understand if the download speeds were slow to start off with but its the fact that they weren't thats really bothering me. Can anyone help please? Theres got to be a simple procedure!

Re: Theres Got To Be A Simple Procedure!
yeh i think i am on that. But if it was strictly restricted then i wouldn't be able to download at all right? i can still download it just takes a very long time and it shouldn't because i know it can reach 500kb.

Does Anyone Download Music And Movies
Most of the threads are talking about general wireless speeds but im having problems with the speed of my torrent downloads. When i first got wireless broadband the speed reached 500kb but ever since that download they dont reach past 13kb.
Does anyone have this problem and if they do how could i make those downloads faster?

Re: Does Anyone Download Music And Movies
You need to go through a few tests first.
Is this lower speed only on torrents or is it also on the various speed test sites.
Remember torrents will only go as fast as the people that you are leeching off.

Re: Theres Got To Be A Simple Procedure!
I notice you have a few threads about your 'problem'. Please can you close your other threads and keep it all under one.
Thanks.

Re: Theres Got To Be A Simple Procedure!
re your problem. See my response on your other thread.
Do a load of tests on different torrents and different speed test sites. Also do them using a wired connection.
It;s impossible to help until we have narrowed down where the problem lies.
also take a look at the threads in the P2P forum http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/p2p-file-sharing/
Some time reading the various threads in this forum will help (I know its a pain, but you need to invest the time to get the results you are after).Last edited by reddwarfcrew; 05-05-07 at 07:43 PM.
