Am I right in thinking - I need a higher Noise Margin for my Downstream?

Yes - much below 6db and the connection will become "choppy". Below 5db disconnection becomes likely.

[Thumbs-Up Smilie goes here!] Had already read your sticky by the time I opened this Thread, that's why I knew about Noise Margin
, not had the time to read how to improve it though, will get around to it.
Have just though, pulled the plug on my Router, and disconnected all the Netgear XE104 Plugged Ethernet Switches, gone off to make a cup, connected it all back, and now my Noise Margins are 9.2 db for Downstream, and 11.5 db for Upstream, with a very slight increase in Downstream Connection Speed - now I expect that's pretty good stats?
