firstly, to say cheers for all the help so far that I've read on these pages, been more than helpful so far.

I'm using wireless connection at the moment, but getting fluctuations of connection from 56kbps to 6000kbps. This is with using the normal socket and the test socket behind the masterplate. I'd be more than happy for it to be 6kbps constantly, with maybe fluctuations above/below of equal to -1000kbps to +1000kbps, as I've been told my line can hold easily around or equiv of 8mb.

Only been connected since friday (and on that day, maximum connection was 400kbps, all day), so are these just teething problems or?

I did notice a massive improvement when using your guide to change the channel on the router from 6-13, but since then, also seen lockouts with error 300 and the changes between the kbps said above.

Used the TCP program to see if that'd improve the situation also, yet to be seen really. I'll put the stats below also.

Any help'd be seriously appreciated.

P.S. Also rang up sky technical, did all the 1st guy told me to (ethernet cable (no improvement), test socket etc) rang back, someone else tried to tell me to do the same, opened a ticket, still waiting on a callback from the higher level, with the number and extensions told...doing best part of running me around in circles on the hold circuit. Wouldnt be too bad, but sky accounts in my mothers name, she has the technical knowledge of an armadillo and sky have to talk to her 1st, so restricted to times with calling them also *sigh*.

As said though, any help'd be appreciated, even if its a simple post saying "haha, wireless! theres ya problem!"
