      Another new Max customer...

      Hi all,

I've found this site today and have been hugely impressed with the depth of knowledge here. I really, really hope somebody can help me with my problem as downloading has been hell since I switched to sky.

While i've been on Max, I have been be getting download speeds around the 3meg mark. Earlier today, I ran the TCPOptimise and this improved my speed to 6.9meg - of course this is still significantly less than the maximum speeds I should expect as a max customer. I live roughly 1.7km from the exchange and my stats are as follows:

      Port: WAN
      Status: PPPoA
      TxPkts: 10966
      RxPkts: 13677

I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks

I think you need to be adsl2 rather than gdmt to get the full 16meg, if thats possible with your line. Also could you post your stats again after working the router hard for an hour or two, they look okay to my limited knowledge but they dont cover a long enough period to be sure
      cheers

      Re: Another new Max customer...

      Hi!
I have the same issue here too. I'm connected to Max, but only receive 6Mb download speed.

I followed your instruction and change it to ADSL2 Mode, then the internet was disconnected. After 10 mins, the internet is still off. I unplug and plug the power cable back to Sky Router, then the internet is back. But it is still G.DMT mode and the download speed is still 6016 kbps.

What can I do to increase the download speed?
