And my last speed test result (5-10 mins ago) gave me (speedtest.bbmax.co.uk):
6095kbps down - 568kbps up
I have a master socket with a test socket, am currently just plugged into the test socket as I find it always works best for me. Two microfilters in the house as I have one on the Sky Digibox, and one on the telephone with adsl plugged into that one as well (both the telephone and router are literally 0.5 to 1 metre away from BT socket.
I was wondering if this line should be enabled with ADSL2+ or if you had any suggestions or comments on what could or should not be done.
Thanks,
Paul.

Re: Is this an ADSL2+ possible line or will it be best at G.DMT?
With an attenuation of 45db you could expect to get a maximum speed of around 8,500 kbps on ADSL2+. The fact that sky has put you on interleaved G.dmt suggests that you may have line problems. I'll leave it to the experts to comment on the errors, although, they don't seem excessive to me.
Whether it is worth the hassle of sorting it out for an extra 1000 kbps (give or take), I would say no. But that is just an opinionothers may disagree.
As for improving your connection: your alredy plugged in to the test socket so, any other problems may be out of your control.Asus P6T Deluxe - i7 920 @3.6GHz - 750GB Samsung F1 - 6GB OCZ Platinum 1600MHz - XFX GTX260 'Black Edition' - Tagan 1100W PSU - TT 'Big Water' 760i - Antec 1200 - Windows 7 64-bit - Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit

Re: Is this an ADSL2+ possible line or will it be best at G.DMT?
tbh, for only an extra Mb I wouldnt really bother,
SNR (dB): 10.5 14.0 - Suggests Sky have set you to that to keep your line stable, Stopping you from having an intermittent connection.
Attn(dB): 45.0 27.0 - Suggests that your line without any errors (Clean Free Line) can handle around 8.5Mb, So really your getting it ok.
ATM your line is quite free of errors, and to keep it this way Sky put you on G.DMT and thats perfect for your connection

Re: Is this an ADSL2+ possible line or will it be best at G.DMT?
Thanks I will probably not bother phoning Sky to try and go through to Tier 3 to get ADSL2+ enabled on my line, it is stable (desyncs once in evening) and most of the time according to the excel results i've been saving I get an average of 5500kbps - 6800kbps down and 550-650kbps up.
Thanks,
Paul.
