      SNR increases at night??

For weeks now I've been chasing SKY CS trying to get ADSL2+ enabled on my line. I've had BT check the line and the internal wiring redone.

MOGNUTS says GDMTmode, attn 29DB, Noise 20DB, no downstream errors though a couple of RSCorrected upstream errors, Download speed 5556Kbps.

Last night the stats changed to GDMT mode, attn 29DB, Noise 30DB, no downstream errors. Download speed 3324Kbps.

Anybody any ideas what's going on with my line?

      Cheers.

If your noise margin increased and connection speed dropped and there's nothing you did to cause this then almost certainly you've been capped at the lower speed and were presumably capped before that too - if you have an error free line then 29dbshould give a connection speed of ~9500kbps on Sky G.DMT and ~16000kbps on ADSL2+.

If you post your full stats to the router stats forum I can take a look if you like. Use the router heavily for an hour or so before taking them.
