Sync @ 8Mb dowloading @ 0.5Mb!
Just migrated to Sky from Freedom2Surf. Was on their LLU service as provided by easynet. I used to synch at around 7 to 7.5Mb and often could get around 5 to 6 Mb downloads even at peak time.
Now on Sky Max I have seen my router synching as high ad 9Mb (though stats from my old router suggested I might have gotten around 12Mb on ADSL2+) but more usually around 8Mb. However download speeds are appalling just down a test on thinkbroadband and managed only 0.5Mb.
here are my detailed stats (have not been using the line heavily for the last few days.

Re: Sync @ 8Mb dowloading @ 0.5Mb!
You could try this until someone comes to help
http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/speed...onnection.html~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: Sync @ 8Mb dowloading @ 0.5Mb!
I had Sky installed yesterday and had the same problem. The problem was cured by checking a microfilter had been installed on all the phone points (they hadn't) and resetting the router.
Sorry if you have tried these already! My initial feelings are that I miss NTLs broadband!

Re: Sync @ 8Mb dowloading @ 0.5Mb!
Tried this yesterday
Seemed to help then but speed gone downhill since then.
I am using a filtered master socket and have been for a year. The only change is going from a Speedtouch router to this Sky/Netgear thingy. Given I was with Easynet via Freedom2Surf and i am still with Easynet via Sky the only other change is going from ADSL to ADSL2+.

Re: Sync @ 8Mb dowloading @ 0.5Mb!
You are getting a fairly high number of CRC errors ( considering that mine is 0 for the same period of time ).

Re: Sync @ 8Mb dowloading @ 0.5Mb!
I thought some of the numbers related to errors seemed quite high. Don't know why as using my old router had a very steady connection with quite good noise figures.
