No, nothing that would cause it I don't think. It did it again last night, as soon as I right click and exit bandwidth meter I am able to shut the PC down straight away. I'm not sure but it only seems to happen if I have actually looked at my totals log during the day. If the meter is just sitting in the system tray it doesn't happen (I'm not 100% sure of this, I will "play" with it a bit to see)

There is a new version out now. If you have any issues with the update on Vista, please re-download the application, unistall the previous application and then reinstall the newer version of the application.

Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

I've just switched my PC on, didn't run anything, and then shutdown without a problem.

Switched on again, right clicked bandwidth meter in the system tray>utilities>total log. Closed the window by the cross in the top right hand window. Tried to shutdown PC, won't do it. Right click Bandwidth meter and exit. PC will then shutdown.

I've repeated the above 3 times, same result each time. It's not a problem (apart from having to get my wife to remember to exit the meter before shutting down which WON'T happen!)

Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

      well, about this shatdown problems

actually i was trying 2 ways of solving
both are working on any PC with any OS i've tested.
So it's very complicated to emulate your situation to understand why exactly on your PC Windows can't properly shatdown while BM is running.

I still searching for the solution

Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

I watched yesterday when I tried to shut the PC down all of the programs in the system tray closed except BM. It seems that the BM program itself is not closing which is stopping windows from shutting down

Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

Something wrong with my totals log.

Nothing showing for 17th- 19th January.

20th Jan shows download 88.97mb. Netmeter shows 185.55mb.
21st Jan shows download 21.11mb. Netmeter shows 81.00mb.

The Netmeter figures give a true reflection of my internet activities on those dates.

The full bandwidth stats web page appears to be correct though.

Re: SkyUser Bandwidth Meter (open beta)

ok sorry for my noobishness...but i assume to get the totals form all machines in the house this needs to be installed on all the machines in the house, this of course as has been said already, limits the usefullnes due to not being able to install on consoles.

unless of course im wrong then ..ill shut up.......:-)

EDIT: ok just read the other thread..(read teh questlog for the win )..and i see it does need to be installed on all the pc's, which i have now done...dosnt help with the consoles though but worth giving a go.

im on the max package but i only get a DL speed of 1312kbps UL of 459kbps, which i know it means i could do with the mid package but i do download a lot so it will be interesting to see what my monthly usage is.
