Sky system insurance

Hi I am new here, I thought It was all about broadband, but I have found this section.Yesterday a satellite company rang me to offer system insurance. They told me that sky callout charges were £70 and did not include parts, wheras a recent callout I did was£65 including parts and labour. Anybody know anything about this? thank you. also does anyone know how to cjhange my user name as my registration seems to have gone amiss chers

Hi I called sky to fix dish as was losing signal to TV, engineer turned up replaced the thing at end of arm on dish and replaced sky box by TV as well for the £65 call out.

By the way sky also do an insurance thingy as well for system don't know how much

Thank you SPARKEY, I thought that was the case, I have e-mailed sky to confirm{ I am very anti 0870 numbers, especially when you spend a lot of time on hold]. Yes I new about sky cover but I do not usually bother it is all a gamble of course. Thank you for your interest

Well thanks for that, you don't know an 0800 for easyjet doyou, they charge 10p per minfor everything, I have just had an e-mail back from sky and they confirm the charge as £65 for everything as it used to be. The satallite firm are obviosly telling porkies in their desperation for business. cheers

I know this one. It should be a free call on most lines now as it is a geographical number, like ringing a mate in another town.

No hold message, no queuing - puts you straight through to an agent (even when the 0871 number says that there's a 15 min wait!)

Try numbers after 01582 700000.

I tried upto 01582 700084. Some were out of service, alot gave a recording saying that the number had been changed. This was an EasyJet message and not the BT one. The new numbers are as follows:

* Bookings 0905 8210905 65p/min
* Other enquiries 0871 2442366 10p/min
* General enquiries/website problems 0905 5607777 £1/m


36, 48, 50 and 57 were the only ones that answered as "Welcome to EasyJet, press 1 for English...".

The following are in service:

25 busy
30 busy
32 busy
33 no answer
34 employee menu
37 no answer
39 busy
67 no answer
68 no answer
74 no answer
80 no answer
83 no answer

After about 60, some are not EasyJet!

If any of these numbers are any good let us know. If not, you may wish to try more.

A Google of "easyjet 01582" gives some other numbers. It appears that some start 01582 525, 01582 445 and 01582 7029.

01582 525001 may work. undecided
