Recording ?
I am thinking of going for SKY+ ,one thing that puzzles me is that if you have set the box to do a recording at a later time in the day does the box have to be left on, or will it do a recording when left in standby and then kick in at the correct time even if you are out and away from box?
Also as there are two receivers in the box, does a modification to the dish LNB have to be made? And also does this mean that the box then has two lines in?

Re: Recording ?
All answers YES I would say. Sky+ box will record in standby, all by itself. A new Quad LNB usually replaces your current one and two cables then go to the Sky+ box. The other two at the LNB are for multi-room and will not be used for a single box installation.

Re: Recording ?
As above, yes the box will record from standby mode.
Yes you will need a quad lnb. Your installer may have 'shotgun' cable where it is 2 cables encased in 1 cable so you only 'see' one cable tacked to the wall, but it is actually 2 cables inside (Coaxial satellite digital fully-screened cable)
