    Sky + national problem?

      Question Sky + national problem?

      My Sky + box went down Sunday about 5.00pm and has not come back up. I tried the usual rebooting etc but am left with a red light and cannot even turn the box off. I contacted the Sky helpline who told me that there is a national problem that their engineers are trying to fix but until they do, there is nothing they can do to help and I'll simply have to wait.
      Does anyone know anything about this - some malfunctioning software upgrade?

      Monday - Sky+ box is now back on but the record and replay facility are not available

      I have seen people on other forums reporting that their boxes turned off but that they came on within a few minutes so there does seem to be some sort of a problem. I'm not sure however, if these were ordinary Sky boxes or the Sky+ ones.

      My Sky+ box shut down and reset itself on Sunday, but was only off for about 5 minutes.

      Had my Sky+ HD Box (Thomson) for just over a week.
      No problems, but that noisy cooling fan can be annoying.


      I make a noise about My Sky BB Max.
      Its FRB.
      Fast, Reliable, Bargain.
