Re: sky+ sub to be scrapped
1. I was offered free install and Sky+ box for taking multiroom at a total of £20.00/mth sub. The Sky eMail made everything very clear.
2. I rejected that offer and now have the £49.00 offer for Sky+ standalone - there is no mention in the Sky email of any £10/mth sub.

Re: sky+ sub to be scrapped
I personally think now that this Sky+ sub scrap thing was nothing more than a rumor. Who knows though, all will become clear soon. At least I've still got my "trusty" TV card for recording the occasional show.
NewsreadeR you £50 of M&S vouchers could come in handy. Bird Flu is sure to cause the price of an M&S chicken to crash, that's a lot of Sunday dinners.
This isn't just Sky+, this is M&S Sky+!

February 12th was the date mentioned regarding this offer wasn't it. If so perhaps all will become clear next week.

Re: sky+ sub to be scrapped
It was really the fact that she said she couldn't offer me the plus box yet said if I had this voucher 'which was now well out of date' she could then give my parents a box. Oh well, looks like they may go to that awful recorder NTL thingy. 12 month new contract ahead for them...
They'll never change us. God help those who try.

Re: sky+ sub to be scrapped
Bad news - I phoned today to confirm details of my Sky+ install on 15th Feb and after talking to 6 people in 4 Departments, I ended up with Cancellations then Installations who did indeed cancel my install bacause "I do not wish to be billed for the £10/month Sub."

Re: sky+ sub to be scrapped
Sky engineers called today and were surprised I had cancelled the Sky+ installation back on 8th Feb. They also assured me there was £10/Month to pay if I did have the installation. Confirmed to them that I cancelled. Looking into getting a Humax 9200T.

Re: sky+ sub to be scrapped
So, according to here this charge for the EPG sub is going?
If that is true I'll be getting a Sky+ box and this will concrete my business with Sky for the forseeable future (until 21CN at least).
