Need Help With Complaint
Does anyone know an address I could use to write a complaint.
I've had Sky+ for 12 months and in that 12 months I've had 6 Sky+ boxes, now my present box is playing up. It is deleting recordings, partially recording and some recordings either don't have sound or the sound is not in synch with the picture.
I've never had any problems with Sky until I upgraded to Sky+.
I think the problem lies with the distribution of reconditioned boxes which have a very short life span.

Well your 12Months are up! You can cancel full-stop?

I don't want to cancel as i couldn't bare to watch the rubbish that BBC and ITV dish out.
I want to complain about these reconditioned boxes I keep getting and going faulty within 6 weeks of installation.

Why dont you ask them to send you a brand new one, Maybe not a REFURBISHED one?

That's what I intend doing when I write my complaint.
When I phoned technical support, all they are trying to get me to do is reset the hard drive. I've already done that prior to my phone call and it didn't do anything other than wipe the programmes that I have managed to record, But they insist on me doing it again.
Sky seem reluctant to send another engineer out for some reason.
I think they are sending me on a goose chase until the 3 months warranty runs out so I'll have to pay the £65.

Just ask to speak to customer relations, They seem to be the only team that help! Sky Tech Support are useless (IMO of course)

Your best bet is to contact the normal sky number and tell them you want to cancel, you should be put through to the cancellation dept/retentions dept. Tell them about all your problems and that you dont really want to cancel but whats the point in paying for something that doesn't work. The first people will probably try and fob you off with the pay £60 and we will send someone to repair/replace but dont accept it. The retentions may offer you that but stick with your fed up speech.
Its a kind of a bluff as you dont really want to cancel but take it right to the point that they are going to cancel your subs and then tell them that you'll have to have a word with the wife or something to avoid getting cancelled. Call back and start again as you'll most probably speak to someone else.
They are usually a nice bunch and will help you as much as they can, if your lucky, as well as getting your problem sorted out they may offer a discount on your viewing package as a goodwill gesture. Good luck.
