Sky+ app error 705 channel off air

I tried to use my sky plus app but I could not change channel or play an item from my planner.

I could turn box on and off and back up worked. My box was on bbc3 but channel was off air at the time.

I had issues with the android app and ios app. As soon as bbc3 came on air it worked fine.

Is this sn issue for all users. If so has this been flagged. I did Google but found no hits.

Looking around it is possible that you haven't correctly set up the regional & HD/SD settings in the app.

If you can open the Sky+ app, tap the spaner in the top left corner. Under the 'Settings' heading choose 'Change Region'. Select whether you have the HD pack or not and then choose your regional settings.

Looking at your profile this should be HTV Wales or HTV Wales, HD.

      Ok strange one....

Current region is set to HTV Wales. HD. Which is what it v should be.

If I click on bbc3 115 on planer it takes me to 210 bbc.

BBC3 is currently off air. But I can change channels on the app to and from this. But if I leave it on bbc3 while off air and turn off and on the sky box. I am unable to use the app

Ok, I'll raise both those issues.

The reason why you are changing to 210 is because the app isn't correctly recognising the HD swap. If you look again 210 on the app is BBC3 HD, but it shold be 115 on the app.

This shows how the app actually works a little. As a bit of fun choose a different region and pick the local BBC1 channel and you'll see what I mean. Don't forget to reset it after!
