It won't be. If you have a Samsung or Pace box, you will get the update eventually.

Nah. old Amstrad I think. Would like to upgrade to the latest box but can't afford it anyway.

Re: Sky+ adds an Undelete feature

Personally I would recommend that everyone consider upgrading to a Sky+ HD STB from the white Sky+ STBs. The Sky+ STB will work perfectly well on a standard def/CRT TV. You don't need to have a HD TV, but it sure makes the viewing more pleasurable.

Firstly if you don't have a Sky+ HD STB check your 'My sky' account for upgrade options. It may cost you as little as 49.

If you are prepared to forgo the upgrade path, check out alternative places for 2nd hand STBs. eBay and high street retailers can supply you with a 2nd hand STB. Pairing your existing viewing card to one is a simple phone call away. 2nd hand STBs in the shops can be found for between 30-50.

Avoid the Thomson model if you want to benefit from all the new EPG enhancements. It will not get these updates or any other future updates either.

Make sure you then also have a suitable method to connect the STB to the Internet, something that the old Sky+ STB could never do.

Consider the DRX890 or DRX895 STBs as these are the ones which Sky are working on first to update. If the internal drives are not large enough for all your recordings, then consider fitting a larger drive. There are guides available for this on this forum.

Remember too that the ExPVR software will now allow you to copy the contents of your old Sky+ STB to the drive in the Sky+ HD STB.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
