Best way to add back PVR functionality?

Since I've left Sky, I've been using the Sky+ TV box for my Freeview channels. I would like to get PVR/Recording functionality but know that I would have to pay Sky 10. month for this which I will not do. Can I purchase a stand alone PVR TV receiver and connect either to the Sky+ box or directly to the satellite to achieve this?

      Regards

Yes, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Humax-500GB-...pd_sim_recht_1, a simple swap. You may be able to attach a simple PVR to the sky plus box, but that won't record 2 channels at once.

Thanks for that, I should have also added can be done for less than 100! 200 is much more than I want to spend though it does look very capable but at least I now know what to look for.

You can pick up a HDD PVR on eBay for around 40, here's just one - Dreamax DTT5216WM Digital Freeview+ HDD 320GB TV Hard Drive Recorder-Series Link | eBay
