Deleting Kept programmes without original Sky Viewing Card

      Hi

I have sold an old Sky + HD box without deleting the recorded programmes, a few of those recordings had been marked as 'keep'.

I have given my old PIN number to the buyer but this doesn't work - I have since read that it's more likely to be the fact that I removed the viewing card before sale.

If the box is now being used for freesat only is there a way to remove these recordings without an active sky subscription? Can you do the HD reformat without being linked up to sky?

      Kind regards.

      Leon

A full system reset would be the only way to wipe everything. I am not sure if this would work though without a full Sky subscription, or perhaps just the Sky+ subscription.

Unless they have enabled the Sky+ service, they will not be able to view anything though.

To perform a system reset, using the remote control, press the following buttons:

      <Services> <Right> <Down> 0 1 <Select> 8 <Down>

Then follow the on screen instructions.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
