sky+ keeps searching for listings
ive just bought a sky+ box brand new and a new dish.. ive wired it up and it comes on say the time & date.. when i go to signal test it says signal strength and quality very good (more than 80%) even got a lock.. ive not connected it to input 2 as i dont want to record chanels.. but when i goto "tv guide" and click channels it will just stay with the message "searching for listings" for hours??
ive had 2 boxes and still does the same.
ive got a viewing card for one of the boxes makes no difference.
im just trying to watch freeview channels with it.
any ideas??

Re: sky+ keeps searching for listings
Disable Sky Anytime, and then Save Settings, then reset the Default Transponder in the Installer Setup ( press Services, 4, 0, 1, Select ). Default Transponder in there somewhere. A Sky+ box needs two inputs to work properly.

Re: sky+ keeps searching for listings
Do you receive any channels?
I take it you installed the dish yourself.
Are you sure you are pointed at the right satellite?
With a simple finder it is very easy to lock onto the wrong one.
