      Sky+ box rewind/pause problems

Had a few problems with the sky+ box recently

Pause live tv with the remote and the pause symbol appears, doesn't pause anything but the symbol won't go away - only way to clear it is to go into planner and select programme again

The fast forward has also stopped working a few times when resuming a recording and when fast fowarding through paused live tv (when the pause has worked) it stops and you can only view again 'live' - missing all that we've had on pause.

Now i've just done the planner rebuild - (is that recommended for this type of problem?) reason i'm asking is that the pause button now seems to do what it should but we only have a month or so left on the warranty so i'm unsure as to whether to ring up and try to get it fixed properly - or would they just get me to do what i've just done (planner rebuild)

ps i'm trying to get the missus to catchup on her recordings just in case the box needs replacing soon

      cheers!
