Problem with Sky+ error #29 - tried everything need HELP!
Hi all
got a problem with my Sky.
Happened this morning, put it on and it comes up saying #29 No Sat signal being received turn Sky + box off for 1 min then turn back on.
Tried this didn't work, so called up Sky.
Took me through everything from resetting the LBN, Health Check (didn't work, kept on freezing)
Now I have been through all the forums and looked at all the cheats to fix problem, still can’t get it to work.
Here are my questions?
I have Sky Multiroom, so after calling Sky, who said the box was knackered, I took the said knackered box downstairs and switched it with my other box and it works fine, took the other box back upstairs and it doesn’t come on.
They have given me the following options:
65 quid call out (which I did 5 months ago when 1 of my boxes broke)
129 quid to upgrade to sky HD
Sky Cover insurance
Cancel my Sky account, or the extra Multiroom box.
Couldn’t be bothered going round in circles with person on phone, taking out leads and waiting for 3 min, put them back in, try this try that and nothing.
So if the box is totally fine, then what can be the problem??

If I've read things correctly, are both boxes working OK downstairs, but neither is, upstairs?Panasonic TX-P50G10B, Onkyo HTS 3305, Sky+HD Thomson 4E3007 (with upgraded PSU & WD5000AVDS HDD),

Sounds like it maybe a lose connetion to the lnb or the cable is knackerd which was the problem with a friend error 29.
