      A couple of questions

      1...
      When i had my sky+ installed the installers did not bother with a phone line, either at the main sky+ box or the multiroom box.
      Does it matter that i have not got a phone line in to any of the boxes?
      Can anything go wrong if there is not a phone line there?

      2...
      Before i had sky+ the box i had was a thompson ( have i spelt that right? ). Channel 4, film 4 and the +1 on both of them had terrible pictures and the sound was abysmal. This was the second box because the first had the same problem.
      When the sky+ box was installed the problem went away, however the thompson box which went upstairs still has the same problem.
      So to re-cap...sky+ box has all pictures and sound ok...box upstairs has crappy pictures and sound on ch4 and film 4.
      How can this be seeing that they are both running from the same dish and LNB?

      On point 1 , it is part of the terms and conditions to have your multi room connected to an active phone line otherwise you will be charged the full subscription for that box. Your best bet will be to phone sky and get the installers back , that way you will be able to show them your point 2.
