      Question help with thomson 8210

hi i just upgraded for this thomson sky plus to sky hd .. the thing was
the thomson 8210 the model with the large card flap no vent holes on top model
when the anytime tv was on and the anytime planner was half way or about 6 playlists the preview window would not play or the lights on the front would spin a quater and repeat the quater and keep doing that . . i turned the auto standby off and did a sky planner reset and it still does it . i did have trouble with some channels not playing from recording planner but that is ok now ..

to cut a long story short is there anyway to fix the anytime bit as i want to sell the box off as upgraded to sky hd

      thanks

Is the programmes that you cannot view part of your paid subscriptions?

I don't pay for Sports so I don't get to view it.

      Can't explain the front display.

      try a manual update.

Switch the box off at the mains.

Press and hold the back up button on the box NOT the remote.

Switch the mains back on and keep that back up button held down.

A series of flashing lights should appear on the front of the box and updating should appear on the TV.

LEAVE THE BOX ALONE FOR 10 MINS.

It will return to a powered off state when finished. DO NOT touch it before then or you could botch the full box.

Advice given is in good faith and if taken is done so at your own risk. If in doubt consult a qualified person.
