Any use for amstrad usb port/ unlock anytime partition?

I have an 80/80 amstrad sky+ box and was wondering if there was any way to make the usb port useful (at least for charging ipods) also is there a hack to shrink/delete the anytime partition for use in recording.

You might be able to charge some devices through the USB socket - it is possible on some makes of Sky equipment. However the ANYTIME partition isn't accessable - and it's used by Sky for other purposes like Pause/Record.
