communal system and input 2 (or1?)
Dear All
I have sky + and the feed is via a communal system. Whilst I know that I am limited in having all the sky features, I am wondering whether the sky + box would behave better if I split the feed into two so both inputs 'get a signal'. sorry if I am not clear about what i am asking I am not technical - though I have read all posts pertaining to stackers, splitters, etc.
my questions:
would having a feed into input 2 stop me receiving the no signal information box that sometimes pops up when i turn the sky + box on, after it has been off over night. After all, all that is required is to pull the lead out the back and then restart to get a signal.
Also, if if the sky + is turned off and there is a cable in the input 2 (or1) as well would this mean I would be able to use remote record or the iphone sky + application?
many thanks in advance

Splitting the feed will do you no favours! It will reduce the signal to both tuners! Out of intrest, how many flats are in your block? and what floor are you on? (I do a hell of a lot of communal system work in London!)
