Thomson sky+ standby problem?
Disconnected my Thomson sky+ box from the power socket yesterday and it took about 35 minuets after reconnecting before it would come out of standby.
Is this supposed to be like this or do I have a faulty PSU?

I had the same problem a few days ago on my Thompson HD box - I wondered about the PSU but my HD box has a refurbed and upgraded Satcure PSU which I think is unlikely to have failed after only 6 months use (They give a 3 yr guarantee). In the end I put it down to the Hard Disk, not coming out of standby for some reason (it certainly wasn't running) but in all honesty I don't know what the cause was and the box has behaved perfectly since.
A failing power supply is usually evidenced by failed recordings, pixelation and other sundry wierd effects but I don't think what happened to me was typical of this.
I could be wrong but if yours is the same, I wouldn't panic just yet unless you are looking for an excuse to upgrade to HD.
