Have sky+ box, q re installation

Hi,

A friend is upgrading from Sky+ to a Sky HD box and has offered us their Sky+ box. Do you know how much we would have to pay to have it installed? We currently have sky but subscribe to the basic package (paying £21 per month). Do you also know if we need to subscribe to a premium service or if we don't is there a monthly Sky+subscription?

You can use their Sky+ box. It would need a new LNB on the dish, and an extra feed running to the the STB.

You could do it yourself, if you are confident or a local installer maybe cheaper.

As long as you have Sky TV - Sky+ functionality is free. You would need to take the card out of the old box and then put it into the Sky+ box and then ring Sky to pair the card to the box.
