      Question is it posssible?

      Is it possible to download recorded programs from the planner to a laptop?

      Not simply i.e. you can't just copy a file across, partly because it is copy protected but mainly because the files on your Sky+ are only decoded by the Sky+ box when played.

      So, you need to play the program and then capture it, either to a CD/DVD if you have the appropriate hardware/software or direct to your laptop if it has a capture card.

      as you have a laptop possibly the onyl way to do this is with an external video capture card, something like this

      PINNACLE STUDIO 500USB 10.0 PC VIDEO CAPTURE & EDITING on eBay, also Video Capture, Video Software, Software, Computing (end time 16-Feb-09 23:29:35 GMT)

      note you usually need a fairly decent PC to stream the data from the capture card to the hard drive unless you use quite low resolutions.
      I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!
