Installing Sky+ as multiroom yourself...
So I just rang Sky about getting Sky+ Multiroom, and they said £200! So I think I'm going to install it myself. We already have a Sky+ box spare and the LNB is 4 way. Is it just a case of running a shotgun cable from the dish to the multiroom, getting a new card and pairing it up?

Pretty much, but you must make sure that both boxes are also connected to your phone.

You don't need to use shotgun cable, standard satellite cable will work although you will need to drill two holes.
Easy to do, certainly not £200. A local company may do it for £60-80.

Or one bigger one
I'm a big fan of shotgun cable - much neater.
As Smithy says tho its nowhere near £200 of a job.
Dont know the size of your house tho if its pretty normal I reckon you could do it yourself for £20ish.

Yes, you can install it yourself, A fresat card is £20.00, or if you wanted you could just run a fed from the RF2 output of the current receiver to her bedroom, this will allow her to watch the same Sky channels as downstairs.
