      Sky+ With Sky Movies

I currently have movies on my subscription as they gave the 5 for 3 months offer.

My question is if I cancel the movies part of my subscription after the 3 months are up, can I still watch the films I have recorded on my Sky+ box?

      My mate reckons you can't?

Cool Re: Sky+ With Sky Movies

Any films you record from the movies channels should remain. A while ago when a movie channel was free for the weekend, I recorded one, and it was still listed after the offer had finished. Only fils that would be auto removed are those from box office.

      Re: Sky+ With Sky Movies

When you cancel the movie package you will lose the ability to play back recordings you have made. The reason for this is that the recordings are still encrypted with the encryption level that the movies package uses. Where movies have had a freeview weekend, the movies are encrypted with the freeview level of encryption so the ability to playback the movies remains after the freeview weekend finishes.

Your friend is right. I myself have a sky plus box and have been in the same situation and have not been able to record/watch saved movies after cancelling my movie subscription.
