      Cannot veiw recorded programmes

      Hi there,
I have had a basic sky installation for approx 10years and the panasonic sky box has just packed up!
Anyway, Ive purchased a secondhand sky+ box (Thomson 80gb) and swapped it over for the standard sky box. Hey presto i can veiw all my channels. I can even record programmes now, trouble is when I play them back I cannot see the playback picture, although the sky+ box seems to be playing it.

I have gone through the planner rebuild procedure and on the first playback I could veiw the picture. Now i have gone back to veiw it again and its doing the same problem. Dodgey box or is it a cable im missing?

Now I know I have only one signal feed, but surely it doesnt affect playback, only recording and veiwing a seperate channel.
Im not worried about recording one channel whilst watching another, but watching a recording would be usefull!

Any help or ideas please? thanks.

Did you call up and have your card 'paired' with the box to enable recording?

Yes, phoned sky and they have done whatever needed their end.
The operator said everythings fine but advised me that i should have two LNB feeds to the box.

I turned the sky box on standby and have just turned it back on, and guess what? I now cant receive ANY channels.
Turned power of at mains, waited and turned back on. Now I can receive all my channels again!

Looks like I am going to have to install a quad LNB and another feed.
