      Program Failed to Record

      Hello,

Over the past 3-4 days nearly every program I try to record seems to fail. Most of them were things I watch when i'm bored so I wasn't too bothered but it failed to record Top Gear tonight so I wasn't very happy. It said it failed due to a technical fault. It has said that about 3-4 of the others, and a few have said power failure when I know for a fact there was no power cut.

Does anyone know why it's doing this?

      Thanks

      Kurby

If your HD box is an original Thompson version then it sounds like your power supply may be on the way out. The failed recordings due to a power cut when there wasn't one is indicative of it going and the original Thompson boxes have problems with their power supplies.

If it is less than a year old you can get Sky to swap it for free, or for 65 for a swapped refurb if it's out of warrenty.

You can also buy a new power supply for your current box and swap it.

Also isn't Top Gear repeated on Tuesday/Wednesday?

      Thanks for the reply.

It's a Sky+ box not a HD and I think it's just over a year old but I know we just got extended warrenty I think from sky or some sort of insurrance so if theres definitely a problem with the box then I'll phone sky tomorrow

And lol I wasn't sure about Top Gear my sky+ box hasn't let me down before that :P I'm sure I'll find it on at some point in the week
