Stuttering channels
I've started to see stuttering Channels on Sky+, Setanta , Rangers/Celtic TV, Popgirl (My Daughter's Favourite).
However if I remove input 2 its fine.
Signal strength and quality are both about 80/90%.
Swapping both cables makes no difference, LNB power reset makes no difference.
All major channels are fine i.e sky sports/movies, all BBC an ITV.
Could my LNB be on the way out?
could my dish have moved?
Is my box no well?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Stuart

Re: Stuttering channels
On a sky+ box, a failing HDD manifests itself as problems with the LNB2 input.

Re: Stuttering channels
Setanta, Rangers and Celtic are all on one transponder.
Theres a known issue with the transponder Popgirl is on and DECT phones.
Probably is what Reddwarfcrew says but are there any other affected channels.

Re: Stuttering channels
Thanks for the replys, but i'm still not convinced as last night 8:00pm i had none of the channels mentioned, however at 06:30 this morning i am sitting watching Setanta golf with a perfect picture and nothing has been changed or switched off. All channels that were missing are now fine.
Why would certain channels vanish like this?
Plan of action
1 realign dish
2 new LNB (How can you confirm if a LNB is Faulty?)
3 buy signal amplifiers ( has anyone tried these things?)
4 new box
Any suggestions on how to eliminate my problem would be greatly appreciated
Thanks Stuart

Re: Stuttering channels
Are only the channels you mention affected and no others?
If so then less likely to be the hard disk.

Re: Stuttering channels
Yes, 95% of channels are ok all the time. The channels i've mentioned are the ones i watch, it seems to be obscure channels like the odd shopping channel.
I'm just miffed with the Setanta situation.
Thanks Again
