      Exclamation Sky+ Recording won't delete

      I have a problem with my Sky+ box.

      Make: Pace
      Model Number: 6.001
      EPG version 5.04.d
      Operating system: 1.31b06

      The planner says there is a programme says it's recording. But when I go to delete it, it will say deleting then goes back to recording! The only way to remove the recording is for me to unplug the box for 30 seconds and plug it back in.

      This has happened twice now. Yesterday afternoon, 15:00 and this morning for a programme that started at 22:30. Both on different channels.

      I've had the same box since June 2005.

      First thing would be to try the housekeeping function.

      This is in a "hidden" menu which can be found by pressing Services, 4, 0, 1 and select on the remote (ignore what's happening on the screen when you press this sequence). This will bring up the engineers menu and you'll find the housekeeping function there.

      Select it and the box will go into standby for a few minutes and won't respond to any key presses. Eventually it will come back on or respond to the power button on the remote/front panel.

      With housekeeping your existing recordings should be fine. There is another option in the menu which will also wipe the disk.
