Changing sky channels from another room ??

Just wondering if someone could help!!
Our main sky plus box is situated in our living room, but we have aerial sockets on the walls in all rooms, we have placed a TV in out kitchen area and pluged in the coax cable to the wall socket and the other end to the TV which is picking up sky(assume there is an aerial splitter in the attic (rented house)How can we change the channel in the kitchen? I have tried plugging a Sky eye into the coax cable from the wall and the other end to the TV, but it is not even lighting up........ we dont want to run cables from the main box(rf2) as it would have to go true the hall?
      Any Sugestions would be great?

      you need to go:

      Services
      4
      0
      1
      Select

and that gets you to a hidden menu. then choose the option to switch on the power to RF2.

PS - your wall sockets need to not filter the electircal signal so you may need to change the wall sockets if it still doesn't work.

      Hi,

i used a wireless magic eye. plugs into scart on back off sky box (it has onother scart sockect on it so you dont lose one). plase one of the LED "eyes" over the remote sensor. plug the receive into the back of the tv in the kitchen & position the led to hang just over the top. when you press your remote in the kitchen, it will send the infa red signal out through the LED on the sky box straight into the remote sensor.
had to fiddle a little with the receiver one though cos it picked up interferrance easily.
      hope this helps you.
