      Replace Sky+ Box

      Ok here go's, My Pace Sky+ box packed up last week (wouldn't come out of stand by no matter what I did).

      Sky replaced my box under the 12 months warranty with a reconditioned Amstrad box, what a pile of crap!! So far this box as shown the following faults.

      1: No sat signalbeing recieved, if you move up one channel then down the channel will appear.

      2:Box freezes and you can use remote or front panel buttons, only way you can sort is to pull power plug and then replace it.

      3:After you have stopped recording the box will not respond to remote commands for about 5 mins.
      check
      4:If you pause live tv it would start again.

      I have contacted Sky who made me check cables, check signal do a system health check.

      I think this is a faulty box as the last one never missed a beat for 11 months until it wouldn't come out of stand by.

      Anyone got any ideas?

      suppose the obvious answer is to phone sky again and tell them your box is faulty and you would like a replacement.

      Just wondered if anyone could confirm that thios box is shot

      It doesnt sound like its very well, do as Pat says, if you kick up enough fuss they should send you a new one this time.

      All sorted now! A very nice man from Sky replaced my box with a brand new one, and further more it's a Pace.

      I'm a happy bunny.
